UPDATE - 11/26/2024 The RFP for Oak Port Field closed on 10/21/2024. OPRYD has reviewed proposals. A decision on the winner will be announced the week of December 2 - December 6. Quality athletic fields across Oakland are in high demand and the impact of sport activities exceed current citywide maintenance capacity. To keep up with demand and expand on quality recreational facilities and services, the City of Oakland Parks, Recreation & Youth Development (OPRYD) department is proposing to seek qualified organizations to lease underperforming athletic fields in Oakland while preserving public access. In order to improve equitable access to recreational activities in historically marginalized and underserved communities, the City has selected Oak Port Field.
