The City provides programming that support independence, safety, health, and active living for seniors. We work with community partners to deliver services that include care management, jobs, training, volunteering, recreation and transportation assistance.

Senior Centers

All Senior Centers are open for programming Monday - Thursday, 9:00am - 1:00pm.

A Senior Center Facts and Questions sheet has been provided to outline the changes at the Senior Centers due to the budget. A printed copy is available for pick-up at the front desk of the Oakland Senior Centers or you can view it online Senior-Center-FAQ.pdf(PDF, 160KB)

Stretch & Flex on KTOP- TV10

Stay active while at home with Stretch & Flex with Tricia. This class focuses on exercises to strengthen the body and support better movement function and balance. Stretching and centering breathwork practice is also included to find strength and balance in the mind. This class is suitable for all bodies and abilities.

This class is also offered in-person at the North Oakland and Downtown Oakland Senior Centers and is free to the membership. Become a member today for $12/year!
