The Public Safety and Services Oversight Commission oversees the proper administration of the revenue collection and spending, and the implementation of the programs funded through Measure Z: The 2014 Oakland Public Safety and Services Violence Prevention Act revenue. Members are appointed by the Mayor and City Councilmembers.

Pursuant to the Governor's Executive Order N-29-20, all SSOC members as well as city staff will join the meeting via phone/video conference and no teleconference locations are required.
The SSOC Meetings will generally be held the fourth Monday of the month from 6:30 to 9:00 pm at City Hall. The SSOC welcomes the participation of the public in all of its scheduled public meetings.
The Public Safety and Services Oversight Commission (SSOC) oversees the proper administration of the revenue collection and spending, and the implementation of the programs funded with revenue from Measure Z: The 2014 Oakland Public Safety and Services Violence Prevention Act. Members are appointed by the Mayor and City Council members. This body reviews the annual financial audit, supervises and guides the evaluation and makes policy recommendations and regular reports to the Mayor and City Council. The commission meets regularly at Oakland City Hall.
