The Public Ethics Commission (PEC) investigates violations of laws related to campaign finance, lobbyist registration, public records, open meetings, and government ethics laws. The Commission's Mediation Program seeks to resolve matters between any person whose request to the City of Oakland to inspect or copy public records has been denied, delayed or not completely fulfilled.
