Pay City Contractor Fees and Penalties Online

The City charges city contractors fees for the use of compliance software and penalties for compliance with requirements for labor standards and business inclusion. The Department of Workplace and Employment Standards (DWES) collects these fees and penalties.

The City sets the fees annually in the Master Fee Schedule.

 

 

How and When to Pay

Step 1.Wait for DWES to send you an invoice.

Step 2.Review the list of charges in the invoice (e.g. active projects).

Step 3.Pay online using the City's Payment Portal.

Step 4.OR Mail a check or money order payable to "City of Oakland" to the DWES address. Include the invoice number.
