The Oakland Police Department (OPD) has arrested Tramonn Gray of Oakley and Alonzo Dyer of Oakland in connection with the homicide of Wing Yin Wong.

Arrest Made in September 2023 Homicide Case

 The Oakland Police Department (OPD) has arrested Tramonn Gray of Oakley and Alonzo Dyer of Oakland in connection with the homicide of Wing Yin Wong. The fatal shooting occurred on September 15, 2023, in the 3600 block of 38th Avenue.

Thanks to the tireless and collaborative efforts of OPD Homicide Investigators, Violent Crime Operations Center (VCOC), Ceasefire, and the US Marshals, Gray and Dyer were safely taken into custody on November 16, 2023.

 The Alameda County District Attorney's Office has filed charges against Gray and Dyer for their involvement in the homicide.

Background:  

The Oakland Police Department (OPD) is investigating a shooting that occurred on September 15, 2023, in the 3600 block of 38th Avenue, just before 9:45 PM. When officers arrived, they located a victim who sustained a gunshot wound(s). Paramedic personnel responded to the scene to provide medical attention. The victim was transported to an area hospital where they were unfortunately pronounced deceased.
