Hello Oakland community!
We have an exciting update for you -- the launch of the General Plan Community Advisory Subcommittee and a new video about what to expect in Phase 2 of Oakland’s General Plan Update!
For Phase 2 of the General Plan, we are revamping our community engagement process to include a General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC). The GPAC has two subcommittees:
- The Technical Advisory Subcommittee consists of regional and local agencies, such as BART and Alameda County Department of Public Health.
- The Community Advisory Subcommittee is open to all residents of Oakland and should reflect the diversity of Oaklanders’ identities and experiences.
Applications are due May15 by midnight. Please direct any questions to generalplan@oaklandca.gov.
