Ways to Pay a Speeding Ticket

There are four ways to pay a speeding ticket. You can pay online, over the telephone, by traditional Postal Service mail or in-person at the Parking & Mobility Assistance Center (PMAC).

Instructions:

If you have the envelope that came with your Speeding Ticket, follow these steps:

  1. Make your check or money order payable to "City of Oakland".
  2. Write the Notice # on the face of your payment.
  3. Use the envelope that was sent with the Speeding Ticket (Notice of Violation).
  4. Put the tear-off from the Speeding Ticket (Notice of Violation) in the envelope.

Do not mail cash.

Checks returned due to insufficient funds may result in an additional fee added to the civil penalty due, in addition to any fees charged by your banking institution.

  1. Make your check or money order payable to "City of Oakland".
  2. Write the Notice # on the face of your payment.
  3. Use this address on your own envelope:
