Community Facilities District (CFD) at Gateway Industrial District
To ensure long-term maintenance and funding stability for public infrastructure, the City of Oakland established the Community Facilities District (CFD) No. 2015-1 (Gateway Industrial District) in 2015. The formation was authorized through Ordinance No. 13324 C.M.S., which permits the annual levy of a special parcel tax on properties within the District.
The revenue generated by this tax supports the maintenance of public roads, utilities, and infrastructure throughout the Gateway Industrial District. Oversight and management of the CFD are provided by the City’s Department of Public Works.
Community members are encouraged to use the City’s OAK311 program to report and track maintenance issues within Oakland.
