Planning & Building Counter to Expand Hours Dec 1!

Starting Monday, December 1, Planning & Building will expand our hours at the One-Stop Permit Center to better serve you and the Oakland community. We will offer services 5 days a week, with dedicated blocks for walk-ins, in-person, and virtual appointments!

Full Permit Center Schedule (Starting Dec 1):

  • Walk-Ins & In-Person Appointments*
    Monday - Thursday
    8:30 - 12:00 PM (last morning walk-in ticket issued at 11:30 am)
    and 12:00 - 4:00 PM (last walk-in ticket issued at 3:15 pm)
    Appointments will take priority
  • Virtual Appointments*
    Monday - Thursday
    12:00 - 4:00 PM
    Friday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
