Volunteer Green/Debris Pick Up

The Adopt a Spot program accommodates a wide array of volunteer interests and goals. Participants adopt public spaces and make a commitment to regularly clean and beautify the area for no less than one year.

Volunteer Activities:

  • Planting/ pruning/ weeding (with pre-approval from Public Works staff)
  • Application of artistic mosaics and murals on litter containers and utility boxes
  • Litter pick-up
  • Graffiti removal
  • Keeping storm drains free of debris

Public Works supports volunteers by providing tools and supplies, debris pickup assistance, promotion, and technical assistance.
