The mayors of Oakland & San Francisco have challenged each other to a Battle for the Bay on Creek to Bay Day, Sept. 21.

Volunteer Opportunities

Oakland's Adopt a Spot program supports groups and individuals in upkeep of parks, creeks, shorelines, storm drains, streets, trails, and other public spaces. Volunteers have adopted hundreds of sites around Oakland. Public Works can provide tool loans, debris collection services, and technical assistance. Volunteer throughout the year and for city-wide events such as Battle for the Bay/Creek to Bay Day, Earth Day, and MLK Day of Service.
