Oakland Fund for Children and Youth RFP Announcement

Oakland, CA – The City of Oakland Human Services Department, Oakland Fund for Children and Youth (OFCY) is pleased to announce the availability of an estimated $20 million annually to invest in programs serving Oakland children, youth, and families.

The 2025-2028 Strategic Investment Plan outlines eight funding strategies. The 2025-2028 Strategic Investment Plan reflects an increased investment in strategies supporting transitions to adulthood, youth safety, violence prevention, and youth development to foster joy, connection, social emotional learning and belonging.

OFCY seeks qualified non-profit and public agencies providing direct services to Oakland children, youth, and their families to submit applications through its competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) process. Grants awarded through this RFP will begin July 1, 2026 (June 1, 2026, for the Summer Service term) and may be renewed up to an additional one-year period.

The RFP is released on Friday, October 24, 2025, and proposals are due on Friday, December 12, 2025, by 11:59pm.  Please visit the OFCY RFP page for additional details, including the date of the Pre-Proposal Conference.
