OPD NEWS:
Through two separate investigations, the Oakland Police Department (OPD) arrested 10 individuals and seized multiple firearms and narcotics. In the first incident, multiple people were arrested, and several firearms were seized during a countywide investigation. On July 30, 2026, the Oakland Police Department's Crime Reduction Teams (CRT) East and West worked with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Parole Office. This investigation resulted in the arrest of nine individuals for parole violations, including possession of drugs and firearms (pictured above left).
In a separate incident on August 4, 2026, an OPD patrol officer from Area 6 in East Oakland arrested an adult male from Hayward. The suspect was found in possession of individually packaged bundles of suspected methamphetamine, and an AR-style rifle was recovered from his vehicle (pictured above right).
OPD remains committed to public safety. These arrests demonstrate the department's dedication and highlight the value of working with the community and partner agencies.
