The City of Oakland (the “City”) invites proposals from qualified firms or individuals (“Proposers”) to lease and maintain the City-owned real property commonly known as the “City Stables” located at 13560 Skyline Blvd., Oakland, CA 94619 (the “Property”). The Property includes one (1) parcel as more particularly shown on the attached parcel map.
The property is a unique City of Oakland asset. The property is on 7.2 acres of land in the Oakland hills. The historic property includes a horse corral, an uncovered lighted arena, and a barn with 16 horse stalls, maintenance barn, and other amenities. To improve equitable access to recreational activities in historically marginalized and underserved communities, the City of Oakland is offering the City Stables as an asset and invites a vendor to submit a proposal for the lease and maintenance of the property.
The City seeks proposals to lease and maintain the Property for activities, programs, and operations in accordance with Oakland Parks, Recreation and Youth Development’s (“OPRYD”) objectives, zoning, and the Deed. Each proposal should reflect the City’s goal of having an operator who provides a high level of service to the public while leasing and maintaining the Property and who, in a fiscally responsible manner, conducts related activities that preserve and improve the Property as a resource for the benefit of the community.
