Special Event Application Fees

Special Event Tier Definitions & Deadlines

The following list outlines application fees based on special event tier levels. A Rec & Tech fee will be added to your permit fee calculated at 12.5% of your permit fee. All fees are non-refundable. Please note, if your event requires Oakland Police Department or Fire Prevention Bureau staff during your event there will be additional costs associated.

*Additionally, please note that the fees listed below do not include any park related fees. A list of parks and facilities available can be found at Central Reservations.

You may qualify for fee discounts for community events and repeating events. A list of qualifying circumstances which allow discounted fees can be found here Special Event Fee Discounts.

  • Tier 1 Fee = $85.00
  • Tier 2 Fee = $439.00
  • Tier 3 Fee = $1,804.00
  • Tier 4 Fee= $5,083.00

A late fee of $388 may be assessed for Tier Two, Three, and Four applications submitted after the required deadlines.
