Interested in becoming an Entertainment Zone? There are several steps to consider as outlined below. Please reach out to EWDD if you have any questions.
Neighborhood organizations or Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) interested in establishing a zone must follow these steps:
Identify an "EZ Lead" to act as the primary liaison with the City.
The identified EZ Lead should reach out to their Council Member and/or EWDD. EZs must be established through local legislation.
After discussing with EWDD, use the Management Plan Template to outline your vision, safety strategies, and boundaries.
Plans are reviewed and approved by the Department of Economic & Workforce Development (EWDD) in coordination with OakDOT, OPW, and OPD.
