Film Permit Services & Rates - as of July 1, 2026
A $128 application fee is required for all film permit requests and will be assessed prior to permit processing. Once the permit is approved, the application fee will be credited toward the total film permit fee. Applications will not be reviewed or approved until the application fee has been received. A Rec & Tech Fee, calculated at 12.7% of your permit fee, will be added to your total. This fee supports the City of Oakland’s digital infrastructure and record-keeping systems. All fees are non-refundable.
