ADA Programs Division is responsible for coordinating the efforts of the City of Oakland to comply with Title II of the ADA and investigating any concerns, complaints, or requests regarding access to City programs, services, and activities.
ADA Programs coordinates multi-million dollar infrastructure improvement programs, resolves disability civil rights grievances and formal complaints, implements settlement agreements, and assists departments in making their programs, activities, and services welcoming and accessible to all.
ADA Programs also staffs the Mayor's Commission on Persons with Disabilities (MCPD), and is supported by a network of Departmental Access Coordinators (DACs).
