Team Oakland Program

Overview

Team Oakland is a citywide employment and environmental education program for Oakland teens in the summer. It provides structured work and training curriculum to develop positive work habits, encourage anti-littering norms and educate participants on environmental issues impacting Oakland communities. In the summer, the Team Oakland program, managed by Youth Employment Partnership Inc. (YEP), hires about 100 youth ages 14 - 25 for an environmental job training opportunity. The youth are from Oakland's high-risk communities and are trained and exposed to valuable experiences with the City of Oakland and YEP.
