We provide the following:
- Offering bilingual services and language interpretation when a substantial portion of Oakland residents using a City service are non-English speaking or limited-English speaking
- Taking an active role in staff development, screening and on-going monitoring of City departments
- Consulting with Department of Human Resources Management to recruit employees that sufficiently represent the number of limited-English speaking constituents
- Overseeing professional and community training programs to increase the participation and achievement of underrepresented groups.
