The Urban Forest Plan (Plan) is a condensed history of trees in Huichin, part of the unceded land of the Chochenyo Muwekma Ohlone, known as Oakland. This Plan, filled with facts, graphs, and science clearly outlines the benefit and necessity of trees, and supports robust and intentional investment in equitably greening Oakland.
The Better Neighborhoods, Same Neighbors Initiative envisions an East Oakland with healthy surroundings, safe and accessible transportation and thriving arts and culture that builds community wealth and ensures housing is a human right for existing East Oakland residents.
This show features 23 Bay Area Artists. Please join us for the opening event on Friday, March 7th from 6:30PM - 9:30PM to meet the artists and view the collection. Show runs March 7 - April 5. Gallery Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm | Saturdays 9am - 4pm | Sundays: Closed
EcoBlock is a deep retrofit of existing residential homes to improve resilience, sustainability, and quality of life for all community members.
Ava Community Energy (formerly East Bay Community Energy) is Oakland's public electricity provider. The City of Oakland helped found Ava in 2016, and has been using Ava’s clean energy since 2018. All residential, municipal, and commercial accounts in Oakland are automatically enrolled in Ava’s Bright Choice service. Visit Ava's website to learn more about their services, governance, and the many resources they provide to help Oaklanders use energy more efficiently and switch from gas to clean electricity.
