Get support for your business along the BRT corridor

The City is working to help businesses impacted by AC Transit's East Bay Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line, which stretches from Downtown Oakland to San Leandro via International Boulevard.

City staff are here to assist business owners and entrepreneurs -- and we’re coming to library branches in neighborhoods throughout Oakland with the pilot Remote BAC from mid-September till December.

As the City’s technical assistance teams, led by AnewAmerica and Mason Tillman, wrap up their work along the East Bay Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor, the City’s Business Development Division has assembled a team to continue the important work of assisting impacted businesses with grants from the Business Assistance Fund (BAF).

We have received the active BAF applications from the two technical assistance teams and have contacted those business owners with a letter. Staff will meet with these applicants and assist them in completing their submissions.

Our goal is to allot the remaining BAF funds in a timely fashion to businesses that have identified indirect and direct permanent operational impacts caused by the BRT project.

If you were engaged in other business support activities that weren’t finished prior to the conclusion of AnewAmerica’s and Mason Tillman’s contracts, please reach out to us at busdev@oaklandca.gov or (510) 238-3627.

Working together, the City’s team looks forward to helping your business grow and prosper.
