Negotiated Settlement Agreement (NSA) Ad Hoc

This Ad Hoc Committee is tasked with: (1) Representing the Commission in all deliberations and discussions with other City of Oakland stakeholders pertaining to the Sustainability Period and efforts to resolve Court oversight; (2) Reviewing the status of OPD compliance with NSA Tasks 5 (investigations) and 45 (racial disparity in discipline) and make recommendations as to any policies that may be required to achieve compliance in these areas, including the review and assessment of the January 18, 2023 policy recommendations of Clarence, Dyer & Cohen, LLP; and (3) Recommend policies and actions required to ensure that the constitutional policing mandated by the NSA continue beyond the Sustainability Period.

Neighborhood Council Meetings

Look up your local Neighborhood Council (NC) to get involved, attend a meeting, or connect with your City of Oakland Neighborhood Services Coordinator.

Neighborhood Watch Steering Committee

The Neighborhood Watch Steering Committee is made up of Neighborhood Watch Captains and others who wish to participate in oversight and support of the Neighborhood Watch Program. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings. The meetings are usually organized around a particular topic of interest.

Noise Element

​This element or plan analyzes and quantifies the existing and projected noise levels from noise sources such as traffic, commercial and aviation activities, and includes implementation measures to address any foreseeable noise problems.​

Notice to Repair

Notices to Repair (NTR) are official letters sent by the City of Oakland when sidewalk damage is identified. City permits are required for sidewalk repairs larger than 25 square feet. A licensed contractor should perform all other repairs.
