Oakland CARES Act: Keep Oakland Housed Outcomes

The Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) administered the Keep Oakland Housed (KOH) program which provided more than $4,315,000 in federal CARES act funding directly to renters and homeowners who were most severely impacted by the COVID-19 health pandemic and most at risk of losing their home and becoming homeless.

Oakland Community Preparedness and Response (OCPR) is a new program launched by the Oakland Firesafe Council, with funds from CalFIRE and City of Oakland. This program provides awareness and educational workshops, materials and on-going support to help increase the overall community preparedness level and to improve disaster response capabilities.
