The City of Oakland will continue to provide free breakfast and lunch during the school break this year.

The Oakland Public Library (OPL) was awarded a $50,000 grant through the African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund, the National Trust for Historic Preservation announced.

The Main Library (125 14th St) will be open seven days a week; 15 neighborhood branches will be open six days per week and until 8:00 p.m. two nights per week.

Beginning the week of April 19, the Oakland Public Library will open 16 locations for indoor OPL Express service. Patrons will be able to access modified library services including browsing, checkout, and computer use during limited business hours.
