Missing Person at Risk Due to Dementia

Oakland, CA – The Oakland Police Department is requesting assistance from our community members and the media in locating Xiao Fan Meng, a 79-year-old missing person at risk.

BACKGROUND: Meng was last seen June 24, 2020, at approximately 11:00 AM, near the area of 10th Street and Jackson Street. Meng is not familiar with the area.

Meng is a male Chinese, 79-years-old, 5’8, 120 pounds, balding grey hair, and brown eyes. Meng is in good physical condition and has dementia. He was last seen wearing a blue and gold baseball cap, light blue plaid long sleeve shirt, and blue jeans.

This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Meng, is asked to contact the Oakland Police Department, Missing Persons Unit at (510) 238-3641.
