Oakland, CA – In the lead up to the two shows scheduled in Oakland in May, Mayor Libby Schaaf invited Oaklanders and fans from around the region to attend an afternoon community celebration of "Tower of Power Day" at the City Hall Amphitheater on May 31, where the band Tower of Power who originated in Oakland were honored on the occasion of their 50th anniversary.
