Interviews for Redistricting Commission Begin on June 23

The Screening Panel for the Redistricting Commission will begin interviewing applicants eligible to serve on the City’s Redistricting Commission on Tuesday June 23, 2020.

The Screening Panel for the Redistricting Commission will begin interviewing applicants eligible to serve on the City’s Redistricting Commission on Tuesday June 23, 2020. The Panel invited 40 applicants to the interview stage of their nomination process. The Screening Panel is tasked with recommending 30 Oakland residents to serve on the City’s Redistricting Commission. Interviews will end on Thursday July 14, 2020, and the Panel anticipates making their nominations by Friday July 31, 2020.
