Oakland, CA – Four years ago, Councilmember Loren Taylor was on the campaign trail stating his resolve to stand up for District 6 and underserved Oaklanders. 3. Fostering a more vibrant and inclusive economy with the launch of the ESO Ventures, authoring of the Local Business Empowerment Through Contracting legislation, and establishing Liberation Park in partnership with the Black Cultural Zone.
  4. Improving the health and well-being of residents by envisioning and helping establish the Saba Grocers Initiative, activating the outdoor gym at Arroyo Viejo Park, and launching an annual Mental Health Awareness Festival.

“It truly takes a village to make transformative change. I am grateful for the countless community partners and residents, who have come together with my office to achieve a lot during my first term. Even though there is much further to go, it is great to take a pause and take inventory of what we have achieved together.” said Councilmember Loren Taylor, whose recently released, “Four Years in Four-ish Minutes” video can be found on his YouTube channel and Facebook site.
