Ceasefire Operation Leads to Arrest of 10 and Recovery of 12 Firearms

The Oakland Police Department Ceasefire Division has arrested a 10 individuals on weapons violations.

On September 26, 2023, Ceasefire Officers were conducting surveillance in West Oakland when they observed several individuals armed with numerous firearms. The officers followed these individuals to the 1000 block of West Grand Avenue, where they detained 15 individuals, resulting in the arrests of nine adults and one juvenile. Officers also recovered 12 firearms.

The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges against the nine adults involved, the charges against the juvenile are still pending.

This operation is a testament to the dedication and efforts of Ceasefire Officers and the entire Oakland Police Department in maintaining public safety in our community.
