On September 6, 2020, at approximately 0348 hours, Oakland Police Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Broadway to investigate the report of a male on the ground bleeding. Upon their arrival, officers located an unresponsive male adult (Oakland resident) suffering from an apparent stab wound.
Officers arrived on the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but the individual was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the apparent shooting. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
