On August 15th, 2020 at about 11:55 PM, officers responded to the 10300 Blk. of Sunnyside St. for a ShotSpotter Activation for gunshots. When officers arrived on the scene they located an unknown male victim suffering from gunshot wound(s). The male victim was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. The victim succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Oakland Police Homicide Investigators responded to the scene and began the follow-up investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
