The Oakland Workforce Development Board (OWDB) funds and supports a variety of programs that provide training, mentoring and educational enrichment to Oakland youth ages 16 to 24. These programs are designed to help youth prepare for the world of work by gaining valuable skills, experience and confidence and to become empowered in their pursuit of career, academic and personal goals. OWDB's youth system provides these services to Oakland residents that are in-school ages 16-21 and out-of-school ages 18-24.
