Clean & Safe City Town Hall Series

In Fall of 2024, Mayor Sheng Thao hosted a series of Town Halls throughout Oakland. Residents and community members were invited to meet the City’s Public Safety Leadership Team and also learn about key strategies and initiatives around improving public safety in the City of Oakland. Each Town Hall included presentations from each department followed by a Q&A.

The program featured: Mayor Sheng Thao, Oakland Police Chief Floyd Mitchell, Department of Violence Prevention Chief Holly Joshi, Oakland Fire Chief Damon Covington, City Administrator Jestin Johnson, Assistant City Administrator G. Harold Duffey, OakDOT Director Josh Rowan, and MACRO Program Manager Elliott Jones.
