The job duties and responsibilities of Animal Control Officers range far and wide. Listed below are just some of the services our Officers perform on a daily basis.

  • Investigate reports of cruelty and neglect.
  • Investigate reports of animal bites.
  • Enforce State and Local animal laws.
  • Ensure public safety by investigating and enforcing Potentially Dangerous and Vicious Dog cases (O.M.C. 6.08)
  • Rescue sick and injured domestic and wild animals 24 hours a day.
  • Pick up deceased animals.
  • Provide support to pets owned by low-income residents.
