To plant a Tree in Oakland you must:

Select an approved Tree Species from Oakland's Approved Species List.
Follow the Tree Planting Guidelines in their entirety for your tree to be accepted as an official city tree.
Submit the Tree Planting Permit online, via mail, or email, fax.

There is no charge for this permit application.
