Camp is 9:30 am – 2:30 pm. Morning care (8-9:30 am) and afternoon care (2:30-6 pm). You can get a registration packet in-person OR call the center to have a registration packet mailed to you. Registration starts on February 14th. You can pick up a packet at the center today.
The Summer Escape Day Camp is for children starting K-6th in Fall 2018. Weekly activities may include field trips, sports, arts & crafts, indoor/outdoor games, cooking, dance, drama and other special activities. Summer Escape is committed to safety first and creating a positive environment where children can spend their time in quality programs that are safe, educational and FUN!
The Jr. High Club is for children starting 7th-8th grades in Fall 2018. Weekly activities may include field trips, sports, arts & crafts, indoor/outdoor games, drama, dance; peddle boating & kayaking on Lake Merritt, golfing and other activities.
Art & Discovery Camp is for children starting 1st-6th grades in Fall 2018. Children will develop their skills and creative learning from our great artists and performers. Dance, music, drumming and martial arts are balanced with visual art classes including painting, sculpture, paper mache and fabric design. The camp ends with the children’s performance and art show and a potluck.
Summer Day Camp Payment information
Cost is $190 per week ($215 for Art & Discovery Camp with extended care), per child and DOES NOT INCLUDE FEES FOR FIELD TRIPS (admission & transportation).
You must pay a $75 deposit per child per week when you register. The remaining balance is $115 per child per week + any field trip fees for that week. This balance is due on Monday for each week of camp.
Field Trip Payment Information – Please note that field trip fees are NOT included in the price of the camp. These fees will vary from week to week. Please pay field trip fees in cash each Monday. If we do not receive field trip payments by Monday, your child cannot attend the field trip for that week.
- 31 days or more notice before the start of the camp week: You will forfeit 25% of your deposit ($18.75).
- 11-30 days notice before the start of the camp week: You will forfeit 50% of your deposit ($37.50).
- 10 days of less notice before the start of the camp week: You will forfeit 100 % of your deposit ($75)
Registration starts on February 14th.

Week 6 July 23-27 Camp held at Redwood Heights Monday & Tuesday, then at Joaquin Miller Park Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. We will have our end of summer BBQ & camp fire on Thursday July 29 at Joaquin Miller Park.
July 30 - August 3 Art & Discovery Camp Session I (note this is the only session and it is held at the Redwood Heights Recreation Center)
