Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)

California Housing Finance Agency (CalHFA)

CalHFA partners with local lenders to offer a variety of first mortgage and down payment assistance programs to help make your home purchase more affordable.

Golden State Finance Authority (GSFA)

GSFA partners with local lenders to provide homeownership programs featuring competitive interest rates and down payment assistance. GSFA offers Mortgage Credit Certificates (MCCs) in limited counties.

Federal Home Loan Bank’s (FHLB) WISH Program (Workforce Initiative Subsidy for Homeownership)

Federal Home Loan Bank provides financial assistance programs in partnership with local banks for first time homebuyers. The WISH Program provides a 4 to 1 matching forgivable loan (that turns into a grant) to eligible low income buyers.

Alameda County AC Boost

Alameda County’s AC Boost is a down payment assistance loan program that makes a homebuyer’s mortgage payments more affordable. The loan program partners with participating lenders and is administered by Hello Housing.

Alameda County Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC)

Alameda County Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) runs the Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) Program throughout the County. An MCC provides ongoing tax credits to assist homebuyers in qualifying for a higher first mortgage.
