Thornhill Drive paving is being jointly delivered with the much-anticipated Safe Routes to Schools Project for Thornhill and Montclair Elementary schools. The project includes a new sidewalk that connects Moraga Avenue to Grisborne Avenue (west), a paved foot path on the shoulder between Alhambra Lane and the Public Stairway, pedestrian flashing beacons and a raised median at the Thornhill/Grisborne (east) crosswalk, signal equipment upgrades and traffic calming features at the Thornhill/Mountain intersection, and the paving of Thornhill Drive between Moraga Avenue and Pinehaven Road. This project was completed in September, 2022.
The project is being managed by our Safe Streets Traffic Engineering team, and the project manager is Jing Jing Lin.
