Award will enable the City of Oakland to develop a comprehensive broadband strategy to expand access to the internet for unserved communities

On December 20, 2022, the Oakland City Council passed a resolution that reinstates the mask mandate for everyone ages 6 and older inside city facilities. The mandate goes into effect immediately, with a sunset date of March 31, 2023.

Recognition of Oakland’s pro-housing policies and practices will give the City an advantage in future state funding applications.

Applications are now being accepted for the City of Oakland’s 2022-2023 Cultural Funding Program grants supporting organization programs and individual artist projects.

104 units are for families earning up to 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI) or $85,680 for a four-person household, with twenty-six (26) units set aside for permanent supportive housing

Grants now available to small businesses city-wide, with reduced matching requirements.

Of these, approximately 80 units would serve unhoused residents
