Application Deadline for Neighborhood Voices Individual Artist Projects, Neighborhood Voices Organization Projects, and Organizational Assistance Grants is July 15

Today, Alameda County announced that the county will advance to the Yellow Tier in the State’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy reopening framework effective tomorrow, Wednesday, June 9.

The Oakland City Council approved $480,000 in fiscal year 2020-21 grants to Oakland-based nonprofit organizations and individual artists through the City’s Cultural Funding Program, Neighborhood Voices (VOICES). The arts grants range from $7,000 for individual artist projects to $20,000 for organization projects and have been awarded to 37 recipients.

The City of Oakland welcomes its first cohort of Equitable Recovery FUSE Fellows, a fully-funded partnership with FUSE Corps to bring in executive-level fellows for one-year projects that promote equitable recovery and resilience.

Alameda County has issued a new Health Officer Order to align with the State’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy, and activities and businesses permitted in the Purple Tier may resume operation immediately. There are no additional local restrictions at this time.
