THIS IS AN IN-PERSON MEETING.

How to Participate in this Public Meeting:

  • Enter City Hall at the entrance on 14th Street.
  • After receiving a security check, proceed to the stairs farthest from the 14th Street entrance, on the left.
  • Hearing Room 4 is located on the 2nd floor of City Hall on the side of the building farthest from 14th Street. There will be a sign-in sheet and paper agenda packets for participants.

Remote participation including public comment via teleconferencing is not available at this time. Hybrid meetings may commence once the City of Oakland has established meeting procedures and allocated resources for simultaneously supporting in-person and remote participation. All Commission meetings will include procedures to comply with the open meeting requirements of the City’s Sunshine Ordinance and the State’s Brown Act.

  1. Recent Bicyclist and Pedestrian Severe and Fatal Traffic Crashes

    Commissioner Schader (patricias.oakland@gmail.com) will lead the Commission in a discussion of recent fatal and other high-profile traffic crashes in Oakland involving bicyclists and pedestrians.

  2. BART Bicycle Programs and Projects

    Heath Maddox, Manager of Bicycle and Micromobility Access Programs at BART, will give an overview and update on relevant BART customer access efforts in Oakland.

  3. Telegraph Avenue Paving Project

    Charlie Ream (CReam@oaklandca.gov) and Cathy DeLuca (CDeluca@oaklandca.gov), transportation planners from OakDOT’s Planning & Project Development team, will provide an introduction to a paving project on Telegraph Ave between 52nd Street and Woolsey Street. Staff recently kicked off the project and is seeking commissioners’ feedback on initial conceptual designs.

  4. Seminary Avenue Paving Project

    Colin Piethe (CPiethe@oaklandca.gov) and Cathy DeLuca (CDeluca@oaklandca.gov), transportation planners from OakDOT’s Planning & Project Development team, will provide an introduction to a paving project on Seminary Avenue between Sunnymere Boulevard and Foothill Boulevard. Staff is seeking commissioners’ feedback on initial conceptual designs, including a potential new bikeway between Sunnymere Boulevard and MacArthur Boulevard.

  5. Report from Ad-Hoc Committee on Fire Code Amendments

    Commissioner Frank will lead a discussion on the BPAC’s planned response to the Oakland Fire Department’s recommendations to the City Council Public Safety Committee regarding Appendix D of the City of Oakland’s Fire Code.
