The Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission recommended approval or acceptance of the following items at the September 11, 2019 meeting: Youth Speaks’ Life Is Living Community event at Defremery Park on Saturday, October 12, 2019; The Oakland Black Cowboy Association’s 44th Annual Festival and Parade at Defremery Park on Saturday, October 5, 2019; Comments were provided on the Draft Downtown Oakland Specific Plan; The Bay Ventures LLC Lake Fest event at Lake Merritt Sailboat House and parking lot on Saturday, June 27, 2020; Clausen House Step by Step: Walking to Independence at the Lakeside Park Pergola on Saturday, October 26, 2019 and the Acta Non Verba: Youth Urban Farm Project’s 2nd Annual Silent Reading Benefit Party and Fundraiser at the Lake Merritt Sailboat House on Saturday, November 16, 2019.
