On February 23, 2022, the Redistricting Commission adopted Resolution No 22-004 to adopt Draft Map F5 which describes the new district boundaries for the City Council and the School Board. Links to the Final Plan (F5) and separate district boundaries can be found below.

First Time Homebuyer Mortgage Assistance Program (MAP)

The Mortgage Assistance Program (MAP) is a City of Oakland loan program, operating jointly with participating lenders, to assist low and moderate income first time homebuyers with the purchase of homes in the City of Oakland. MAP loans provide assistance that fills the gap between what a household can afford and the purchase price.

FM Smith Recreation Center

The FM Smith Recreation Center serves youth, teens, and seniors in downtown Oakland and surrounding communities. Our multilingual staff speaks several languages, including English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Spanish. The center features a basketball court, two play structures, picnic area, fully equipped computer lab, multipurpose room, and a renovated kitchen.

Franklin Recreation Center

Franklin Recreation Center is located in lower East Oakland, adjacent to Franklin Elementary School. The center features a lighted softball field, outside basketball court, patio areas, asphalt playground, and children’s play structures outside. Inside our building, our center features a social hall/multi-purpose room, and an activity room which serves as our game room and computer lab. This great community resource offers diverse programming for children and teens.
