Bond Measure KK 1-4 Unit Acquisition and Rehabilitation Program

The purpose of the Bond Measure KK 1-4 Unit Acquisition and Rehabilitation Program is to provide loans for acquisition-related and rehabilitation costs associated with developing, protecting and preserving long term affordable housing throughout the City of Oakland.

The City of Oakland Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) is pleased to announce the implementation of its Bond Measure KK 1-4 Unit Acquisition and Rehabilitation Program. The amount of available funds $3,000,000. The maximum loan amount is $150,000 per unit.

The Acquisition Rehabilitation loan application will be available by January 7, 2019 on the City of Oakland, Housing and Community Development Topics webpage or by contacting Raynette Dunbar at rdunbar@oaklandca.gov or 510-238-6127. Internet Explore stores copies of webpages, images, and media for faster view. Hardcopies of the Acquisition Rehabilitation loan will be available for pick up at 250 Frank Ogawa Plaza, Suite 5313 by Monday, January 7, 2019.

Proposals for acquisition and rehabilitation of 1-4 units are welcome.

Please read the Bond Measure KK 1-4 Unit Acquisition and Rehabilitation Program Guidelines carefully for information on income and rent restrictions, evaluation criteria, loan terms, and other program requirements. Please submit all documentation listed on checklist with the application. Funds will not be reserved for incomplete applications. Prior to the application deadline, please check the Housing and Community Development website regularly for any updates, corrections, or posted questions and answers.
