The Bicycle and Pedestrian Program provides staff support to Oakland's Bicyclist and Pedestrian Advisory Commission (BPAC) which advises the City on programs and projects related to walking and bicycling. Meetings take place in City Hall on the third Thursday of the month and are open to the public.
Other agencies are working on bicycle and pedestrian projects in Oakland, such as the San Pablo Avenue Corridor Project (Alameda County Transportation Commission) and the East Span of the Bay Bridge (Caltrans).
