Annie Hines

Hi, I’m Annie, EMSD’s Program Analyst.

I was born and raised in Oakland before going to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles for college. Upon graduating with a degree in Spanish Literature, I worked in Isla Canas, Panama with the United States Peace Corps, working alongside the community’s sustainable tourism organization to mitigate environmental impacts to the unique ecosystem.

After returning to Oakland, I worked as an environmental educator for Redwood Heights Elementary School while studying for my MS in project management. Once completed, I transitioned into workforce development with Center for Employment Opportunities as a data analyst and project manager.

I’m grateful to be able to serve my hometown with the Fire Department!
