Know Your City: Oakland Walking Tours for Schools
The City of Oakland’s Cultural Affairs Division offers walking tours for school groups from grades 3-12. The 60-minute walking tours are led by a local historian and offer students a unique opportunity to learn about Oakland’s rich history. Walking tours are offered year-round. Chaperons must be provided by the school at a 1 to 5 adult-to-child ratio. Due to Alameda County’s Shelter-In-Place Order, the Walking Tours are currently suspended. We are monitoring the Orders and will update this web page when the Walking Tours are allowed to resume.
