The Kaiser Permanente Thrive Center unveiled

Kaiser Permanente announced on June 17, 2019, plans to construct a new headquarters — The Kaiser Permanente Thrive Center — in Oakland, bringing together staff currently in multiple locations, reducing annual operating costs, and benefitting the city that has been its home since 1945.

We encourage you to take photos and videos at your volunteer projects. Before & after, and action photos are a great way to document and share the hard work of you and the volunteers. We collect photos from all the projects for photo slideshows for city‐wide cleanups (like this one from Earth Day), volunteer appreciation, and promotion of future volunteer events.

Since the start of Flex Streets, the City of Oakland has made available unutilized City-owned outdoor properties to retail businesses and restaurants which are unable to operate in the public right of way or on private property as provided under the FlexStreets program.
